January - March
  • Volunteer activity at Arkansas Garden Show-Children’s Hands-on Workshop on Planting and Growing Seeds for Food--- Little Rock
  • Volunteer Hands –On , Six-Week cycle of “Cooking Matters” classes for adults focused on meal preparation, grocery shopping, food budgeting and nutrition--Conway
  • Conducted Interactive Grocery Store Tour focused on budgeting for healthy, affordable, and delicious meals for families --North Little Rock
  • Attended “ Hunger in Our Schools “ educational lecture sponsored by  Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign--Little Rock
  • Volunteer gardener(weekly) for After School Class for elementary  students--Conway
April - May - June
  • Volunteer Hands –On “Cooking Matters” Classes for adults-focused on meal preparation, grocery shopping, food budgeting and nutrition---Conway

  • Attended " Horticultural Field Day" at  the University of Arkansas' Southwest Research & Extension Center---Hope

July - August - September
  • Attended a USDA supported program entitled,” Farm to School Program Producer Meeting”. This program allows producers to sell their produce directly to schools-- Danville
  • Volunteer at Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance supported event entitled, “Southern Legislative Conference Campaign against Hunger-Meal Packing Event”--- Little Rock
  • Attended University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service supported presentation entitled:
    • “Cultivating A Better Food System.” The presentation spotlighted environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable ways of alleviating hunger, obesity, and poverty while creating networks of people, organizations, and content to push for food system change. Little Rock
