There was no snow during these past three months so the cleaning, plowing, and clearing of the land of tall grasses, bushes, heavy brush, and trees was undertaken. The photos below indicate the success of these projects.

We have formed a limited liability company for the farm now known as Everette Brown Farm, LLC. This legal step allows us to begin establishing financial systems for operating the farm.

Goals for January-June 2015
  • The results of the “Soil Testing” indicated that urea/nitrogen, phosphate, potash/potassium and zinc needed to be added to the soil. We did get the lime added during the Fall so this last steps will be accomplished at the time of the next plowing.
  • Fencing the crops grown on the property so that wild life can co-exist on the property without destroying crops planted.
  • Trial planning a few crops based on successes of 2014. The last frost of the 2015 Spring is scheduled to end April 16, hopefully we will be ready to plant crops by that time.
  • Establishing a residence on the property.
